Changelog
What's new in JULY Email.
Every change we ship, newest first. Follow along with the RSS feed.
Share a page
- Every page of the site has a Share button: your phone's own share sheet, or WhatsApp, WeChat, Line, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Telegram, Pinterest, email or a text. Your referral link shares the same way from Referrals.
- A link to the site pasted into a chat shows its own title and picture.
- Small buttons are easier to tap on a phone.
Unsubscribe in one click
- The notices you can switch off now end with an Unsubscribe link, and mail apps that show their own Unsubscribe button can use it too. One click stops that kind of email; sign-in, security and billing email still come.
- Unsubscribing asks first, so a link checker opening your mail can't do it for you. Turn the emails back on any time in Settings.
Easier on a phone
- On a phone, lists turn into cards you read top to bottom, with nothing to scroll sideways, and each of your domain's DNS records gets its own card with its Copy buttons.
- A long domain name or address stays inside its box instead of pushing the page wider.
- Every help request and contact message gets a reference number to quote, shown when you send it and in the acknowledgement email.
Your legal documents
- Keep a PDF of the Terms, the Privacy Policy or any of our legal documents: Settings, Legal documents.
- When a document changes, we email you once, before it takes effect, with what changes and the new text attached.
Steadier pages and saves
- Back and Forward take you to the exact place you left on a page.
- Saving your settings in two tabs no longer overwrites one with the other: changes to different fields are combined, and if both tabs changed the same field you're told which one.
- If the service stalls for a moment, the page says so and tries again by itself.
- Buttons wait until the page is ready, so a quick tap is never lost, and a double click sends once.
Service status
- A status page shows whether the website, forwarding to Gmail, sending as your domain and AI drafts are working, with every incident of the last 90 days and its note. Follow it by RSS.
- The Help page shows the service's state right now, and every page's footer links to the status page.
Referrals and your story
- Share JULY Email from the new Referrals page and earn a share of what the people you refer pay in their first year, paid by Interac e-Transfer.
- See your clicks, sign-ups, paying referrals, what you earned and what was paid to you.
- Joined through someone's link? You're told, and you can remove the referral at any time; your price never changes.
- Share your story from the Help page. We publish it only if you allow it, exactly as you wrote it, and you can withdraw it any time.
Billing, receipts and the AI allowance
- Every price reads in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes, on the site, in the app and in our emails.
- A receipt by email each time your plan renews, and a note when a refund or a new card is recorded.
- Have a partner code? Enter it on the Billing page before you choose a plan.
- If a payment doesn't go through, sending as your domain pauses until it does, with a reminder every few days and a dated warning; only after a month does the app lock to Billing, Help and Settings. Your mail keeps forwarding throughout.
- AI plans state their daily allowance on the pricing page, and Billing shows today's count.
Today, Activity, Connections and Help
- Today opens with what needs you: mail held as spam, messages that bounced and domains not live yet, each with its next step and Mark handled.
- Activity lists every message on your addresses for 90 days, with search, filters, saved views and a CSV of what you filtered.
- Every address has its own page with its history, and every domain page shows the changes made to it.
- Connections lists your Gmail inboxes, your card, saved DNS keys and send-as passwords, what each is for and how to remove it.
- Billing shows your renewal date, your next charge, your card and your invoices. Cancel at the end of the period, or keep your plan, in one step.
- Choose your own time zone in Settings, and every date follows it.
- Ask our team from the Help page in the app; the page you were on comes with your message.
Notifications and email
- A bell in the app for sign-in, billing and domain events.
- Choose how service notices and the digest of held mail reach you.
- Every email from JULY Email has a new design and a plain-text version.
Sign-in and your data
- Sign in with a passkey or with a link we email you.
- Two-factor sign-in comes with eight backup codes, and Settings lists your signed-in devices with Sign out everywhere.
- Export all your data from Settings. Deleting your account sends a certificate of what was deleted.
Safer accounts
- Two-factor sign-in, email confirmation for new accounts and protection against password guessing.
- Mail is held and retried instead of bounced when a check cannot finish.
More Gmail, better drafts
- Copilot connects up to five Gmail inboxes.
- AI summaries and suggested replies arrive as drafts inside the conversation in Gmail.
- One-click DNS setup works with Cloudflare.
