What it is for
Receiving mail on your own domain, replying to it, and writing to people who expect to hear from you: your customers, clients, partners and anyone who wrote to you first.
What it is not for
- Spam: bulk or unsolicited commercial mail, mail to purchased, rented or scraped lists, and commercial mail to people who have not agreed to it where Canada's anti-spam law or another law requires consent.
- Cold outreach campaigns, email warming and anything built to farm sending reputation.
- Phishing, malware, fraud, or pretending to be another person, business or brand.
- Harassment, threats, or content that is illegal where you or your recipients are.
- Hiding who you are from a recipient you write to, or forging mail headers.
- Getting around plan limits, probing or overloading our systems, or reaching other customers' data. Security research is welcome under the rules on our Security page.
- Using a domain you don't own or have permission to manage.
What happens when it is misused
We may pause sending from an address or domain at once when its mail puts delivery for other customers at risk, for example after spam complaints or a run of bounces; receiving and forwarding keep working while we look. We tell you what we saw and how to fix it. Serious or repeated misuse can end the account, as the Terms of Use describe. We also follow the acceptable use rules of the providers we send through.
Reporting misuse
If mail sent through JULY Email reached you uninvited or looks like a scam, forward it with its headers to hello@julyemail.com and we will look into it.
